Google Chrome
Commissioned by Google to be one of six artists to be part of the Rising Artist Series for the new collection of Chrome themes. The series aims to resonate with the next generation of Chrome users worldwide, inspired by the four themes; Explore, Create, Find and Connect.
With bold, vibrant colours and lots of details and characters to discover, the designs transform the Google Search page into playful and immersive worlds.
The aim of the illustrations is to create inspiring, hopeful and thought provoking backgrounds with colour palettes that give a sense of calm and are a joy to look at each day.
Adventurer
A solo adventurer sailing out into the bright and vast horizon. Symbolising hope, determination and the many opportunities that await to be discovered.
Flourish
A community building and growing together. Connecting, supporting each other and flourishing.
Discovery
A curious discoverer emerging from a jungle, searching for escapism, exploration and wonder.
Good Company
Two friends cycling in the mid-summer sun, connecting and bonding. The piece radiating warmth, freedom and joy.

Colour, shading and detailing in vector.
Sketch and Colour
The design process begins with hand drawn sketches and concepts which develop into vector coloured illustrations. Extra details are added to give life and curiosity to the designs. Colour is built up gradually followed by layers of shading and intricate details to create the effect off depth, light and to make the designs pop.
The colour palettes are chosen by considering the feel of the illustration. For example, 'Adventurer' aims to depict a calming, hopeful mood with a solo traveller setting off on an adventure. The colour palette reflects this with a warm, soothing sunset built up with shades of pinks, oranges, reds and purples.
Each design has it's own colour palette depending on the story it tells, allowing the viewers to connect and choose their theme based on the current season, weather or their mood.
